LOVE IT! Okay, how many of us haven't been in any of these situations. They were so familiar it was scary. I love the Internet and what it has allowed us to do since Hollywood just doesn't seem to get it. To me, this web series is like The Office, but better. And way funnier.
Wow, it's like looking into a mirror. She knows my workplace well. I love this. Sometimes you have to laugh at things to keep from crying. When she started talking about how it's not like that anymore (mark 2:30) and she realizes what her mother said was right (mark 4:53) I hollered. It so put me in mind of cinnamon's blog entry on The Blasian Narrative - She Must Be Mixed With Something. Lesson learned - don't become complacent. And no that bitch didn't say you got a scholarship when she informed her she went to Brown University. Believe it or not we can afford college. And no that punk didn't try to touch her food. He would have lost a finger - quick.
I really like Kim Williams. The production on this webseries is top notch.
This was funny, but understated. Not as over-the-top as Awkward Black Girl, a show I love. I can see the white boy is trying to holler. This should get interesting. Looks like this will be my new favorite webseries.
I can see the white boy is trying to holler. This should get interesting.Depends on how they play it. If they go the tired old way, then no. But if she uses the opportunity to show how WW react to BW/WM, then we'll be in business.
