Our Flawless FLOTUS

People want to hate the Flawless FLOTUS.  They do.  But they can't deny that she has a powerful impact on society.

Pictured:  Perfection.

From Yahoo!Shine:

She's done it again. With unlikely nail color and a few dramatic hand gestures, the First Lady has catapulted a new beauty trend into the mainstream.
On Tuesday during her impassioned speech at the Democratic National Convention, the First Lady's blue-gray nails got as much buzz as her Tracy Reese dress. Equal parts Katy Perry and high school goth, the color was an unusual choice for a political figure, no less a woman over 30. But Michelle Obama doesn't follow style rules, she reinvents them.

Am I surprised?  Hell no.  'Cause this is what our Fabulous FLOTUS does.  They can hate on her all they want; but deep down, they want to be her.  Unfortunately for them, her nail polish is as close as they'll come.

  1. Yep. I want some. It looks great. But I can't keep my nails painted no more than a day or two because the polish chips. According to that article, that particular nail polish costs $16 and it lasts for 21 days. Something to consider if you're a woman who keeps her nails painted.

    1. It is a shalac (sp?)and it will last at least 3 weeks. Drys quickly with the UV light sealing it to the nail. Down side it will ravage your nails. Dries them out completely. I did it for like a year and my nails are now just getting back to normal. It is a nice option for something like a big night but I wouldn't do it for more than that.

  3. Amber Riley was listed in the DNC's itinerary -- she sang the national anthem so she's getting her shine on. Her daughters must've recommended her! Also I have this strange feeling the if they get re- elected, Michelle might starting wearing her natural at times. With the nail polish fiasco, her stance on wearing what she likes , she the type to hire an African hairstylist ( Kenyan ? For her hubby? *wink, wink*) and rock the fiercest do-- she's easing into it. Man, I would be surprised if she read blogs like this on her spare time to keep updated on how she can make a positive impact on black girls lives, especially her daughters cuz I have a feeling they both must have confided in her that might be suffering for bouts of self esteem and she really places her position as mother as 1 w/o question. Plus, those girls must be surrounded by like white chicks all day so they might want to stand out and embraced who they are slowly by following their mom. Thoughts?

Girl, I'd just be happy to see some twists and/or braids.

Okay, that's my favorite line ever. It's so true, it's hilarious! Men want her and women want to be her. But it's so hard for them to admit it that they resort to irrational hatred to hide that fact. Heh. They're so transparent.

  5. She was different... But still, their game is to pull votes. Yes, it is working, but still.... let's focus on growth of the nation..... I came from the poor, but am not gay.... and I still want to help ALL of the people. It is not a class thing, it is a right thing. I do not hate her; I do not want to be like her.... I just want my 7 children to have a job when they get out of college.

  6. I don't see what all the fuss was about. Any fashionista worth her salt could see that the Fab FLOTUS was matching her nails to the hem of that gorrjusss dress ;)
