Count the Fail

All because Julie was looking for the name of the song ("Meant" by Elizaveta, in case anyone's wondering).

  1. Why isn't Tony Goldwyn in the vid? Why don't we see flashes of his naked ass reflecting images of them having sex?

    1. I want to know what state or country this was advertised in, because they will put different promo spots depending on who the targeting audience is. I have never seen this spot advertised in Chicago, but its an overall fail.

I was reading a blog from a black man who lives in Taiwan and he was stating that you wouldn't even know that Kerry Washington was the star of the show because they use Tony Goldwyn as the star for the selling point, so all you see is Tony.

    2. Good point. When I first seen Scandal,I had no idea who Tony Goldwyn was. I didn't know that he starred in Ghost and I certainly didn't know that he was Samuel Goldwyns Jrs son. It took for a loop. The only familar face I've seen on there was Kerry Washington. I think that the average person woukd know Kerry than Tony.

I believe what that guy said about Kerry. As much racism as the US have, you're quicker know a Black face here, Europe or Canada than you would some other country. On many occasion, there have been discussions on countries that seem to only focus on fair skin and /or White people .Let's use some Asian countries as an example. I seriously doubt (I can always be wrong, though) that a Scandal like show would ever be shown in these countries. because of the IR theme and Kerry's darker skin, but if it did, Tony's face will be more highlighted before Kerry's, even though she's more international than he is.

    4. Oh so Scandal is shown in parts of Asia after all (forgive me for my overlooking).I'm surprised that they let the show be shown there. Still, its sad how some of the natives let light skin dictate the truth especially of who is the real star of the show.

  2. Ugh there was no reason for all of that mess.

I can count the fail but I can't articulate it today. Maybe tomorrow. Ugh.

    1. Yup, I saw it right at the end, except they didn't show the whole promo spot.

    2. I was so glad they didn't show the whole thing. What they did show was enough to make my flesh crawl.
