Athletic Sisters: Sibongile Mjekula

This South African sistah is a bauce. I watch her videos with my jaw on the floor because she does some profoundly difficult shit. I didn't even know rhythmic gymnasts could even do half the stuff she does.

Yet I only heard of her the moment I decided to do some "research"...just because.

  1. Phenomenal. I'm curious, are girls who do rhythmic gymnastics girls who wind up getting too tall too soon for the other kind? I just notice that these gymnasts have much longer limbs and a longer, leaner look than the other gymnasts. I doubt any of them are tall, but I feel ike most of these girls are over 5 feet tall.
I like how I felt some of her movements also kind of pulled from some kind of African dance. I mean, I'm no expert but those were moves I definitely haven't seen any white rhythmic gymnasts do.

    1. I'm no expert either, but I think this type of gymnastics affects muscle development differently from the type we're more familiar with. So these girls might not necessarily be taller, but their muscles develop more like dancers (lean) than bulky.

Yes. Sibongile definitely brings the African flavor, and not just in her moves, but her clothes as well.
