Sisters Wearing Crowns: Miss Ghana 2013

Carranzar was born in the suburbs of Accra and has lived in the capital all her life. She is a BSC Medical Student with ambitions of qualifying as a paediatrician in the future. Describing herself as “down to earth with a vivacious personality and a passion to help the under privileged”, she partakes in quarterly outreach programs bringing medical care to rural areas of Ghana. In her spare time she enjoys reading, sightseeing, and travelling, and her favourite book is Think Big by Ben Carson. (Source)

Because of Miss Nina Davuluri's epic Miss America win, some of us may not have noticed the Miss World Competition was also going on.

Out of 127 contestants, Miss Ghana won 3rd place, losing out to Miss Philippines (1st) and Miss France (2nd).

The Club congratulates Miss Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter (dang...ain't that a mouthful?).  You do your sisters proud, dark sistah.
